Paul Barkhurst has developed a special concentration in the area of eminent domain, representing landowners as well as governmental entities in numerous lawsuits. His cases have involved ranch power line takings, pipeline cases, and highway construction activities.  Mr. Barkhurst also represents governmental entities in construction disputes and has represented contractors and subcontractors in private disputes. He has extensive experience handling complex business dissolution and injunction cases.

A former Air Force Aviator, Paul began his legal career as a United States Air Force Judge Advocate General. As a JAG Captain, he prosecuted and defended numerous court-martial trials involving felony-level offenses. He finalized his military career as a Civil Litigation Attorney in Washington, D.C. representing the Air Force in Federal Courts throughout the country. Barkhurst, formerly a shareholder with Oppenheimer, Blend, Harrison & Tate, Inc. established Barkhurst & Hinojosa, P.C. in February 2010 and continues to provide legal services for private individuals and public agencies.
