This in-person course is an advanced level course that can be applied towards the SR/WA designation. A required course for the Oil & Gas Pipeline and Electric & Utilities pathways for the RWP certification and can also be applied an an elective towards the Generalist and Transportation pathways for the SR/WA. A required course for the R/W-NAC certification. Topics include: 

  • Requirements of a valid description.
  • Use of the rectangular grid system
  • When and how to use the point and centerline method.
  • Sources of uncertainties
  • Subdivision descriptions
  • Metes and bounds descriptions

INSTRUCTOR:

Mark Janicki, PE, JD, R/W-NAC is a licensed progessional civil engineer in Texas (1988) and licensed attorney in Texas (1994) with 35 years of experience including 23 years of ROW acquisition experience and 12 years of engineering experience. He understands surveys and construction plans for utilities, drainage, land development and transportation projects. Mark is a CLIMB certified instructor for the 900 series courses and is a member of the North Texas Chapter.
